United Against Malnutrition and Anemia: Building a Healthy Future for All.

In Peru, malnutrition and anemia are pressing public health issues affecting vulnerable populations, including children and the elderly. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), in 2023, 43.1% of children aged 6 to 35 months suffered from anemia, and 11.5% of those under five years old experienced chronic malnutrition.

These conditions not only compromise the physical and cognitive development of children but also significantly impact the quality of life of older adults. In the elderly, malnutrition can weaken the immune system, increase susceptibility to diseases, and reduce autonomy, limiting their ability to lead a dignified and active life.

At Ágape Hand, we recognize the urgency of addressing this issue comprehensively. Our project focuses on providing nutritious food and essential supplements to vulnerable communities, with special attention to pregnant mothers, children under five, and the elderly.

In addition to food distribution, we implement nutritional education programs to promote healthy and sustainable eating practices. We work closely with organizations like the Banco de Alimentos Perú, which has joined our cause to expand the reach of our initiatives.

However, these efforts are not sufficient. Currently, we strive to assist more than 27,000 individuals and seek support to cover the costs of transporting food to the communities that need it most.

Your contribution can make a significant difference. By supporting our project, you are not only providing food but also hope and the opportunity for a healthier future for thousands of Peruvians, from the youngest to our cherished elderly.

Together, we can combat malnutrition and anemia, building a stronger and healthier Peru for all generations.
