Vision in a Nutshell

In a rapidly ageing society, loneliness and isolation are all too prevalent features of later life. NGOAgapeHand is enabling positive ‘connected ageing’ through sharing of long among older adults. Our mission is to connect and enrich the lives of the abandoned older adults, fostering an ‘age-friendly’ and inclusive world. We now need funds to make this come true while positively changing the lives of the adults who are abandoned. Your support will help us re-define ageing, and enrich the lives of older adults around the world.

A lot of abandoned adults can barely make it from one month to the next. With many unfavorable situations, the costs will have increased as it is. The poor and stranded adults have been struggling before but now they will have struggled even more. Together with your help, we can make sure at least some adults can now live a happy and healthier lives.

Where Your Generous Contribution Will Go?

We have created a detailed budget where every penny has been allocated to bring this project to life successfully. We need to:

• Reduce loneliness and isolation – one of the biggest issues facing older adults today, carrying significant health risks such as coronary heart disease, stroke and dementia.
• Provide financial insecurity, and enough food – many adults struggle with inadequate pensions

Also, your money will help pay for utility costs, as well as food and any other necessary costs the adults might have to pay for, either due to medical reasons, floods or due to necessary property maintenance.

If there is some money left, it will be spent on buying good wears, some basic materials, etc. for the adults.

Our Belief is Opportunity for Abandoned Adults

There are also increasing numbers of adults struggling on inadequate pensions. These are not just unfortunate situations on an individual or human level, they also carry significant costs for society, tax payers and the economy. We want to do something about that. We want to contribute to a world where adults no longer find themselves lonely or isolated or disconnected by virtue of their age. We want to enable financial independence and economic sustainability for older adults. We want to create a real movement – empowering and inspiring older adults to enjoy the world around them regardless of age. We are using the ‘sharing economy’ to achieve this. However, our vision goes beyond the sharing economy, we want to champion a new ‘caring economy’, where adults are what matter most, and the social impact is as important as the economic return.

We have come this far on belief, hard work and limited resources. We now need help to write the next chapter. By contributing to our campaign, you can help us change the narrative on ageing, help adults enjoy their ‘golden years’ and reduce the risk of loneliness and sufferings in old age.
