Deep in the Peruvian Andes, where time seems frozen and progress has not arrived, lives Dominga. Her spirit is strong, but her body is weary. She lives with her daughter—suffering from a fractured hip—and three grandchildren, one of whom is blind. They survive in a fragile home, far from hospitals, schools, or any form of government support.
Her daughter’s surgery costs over 20,000 soles. They lack even the basics to eat, let alone afford medical care. Dominga does the impossible to keep her grandchildren from going hungry, often sacrificing her own meals. On cold nights, all that shelters them is the hope that something might change.

AGAPE HAND works to change that reality.
We don’t promise luxuries or magic solutions. But we arrive where no one else does. We travel to the most remote areas—where there’s no phone signal or paved roads—and we bring the most urgent help: food, warmth, attention, and most of all, human connection.
In our daily mission, we reduce the gap between food waste and food scarcity. We recover good, edible food destined for the trash, sort it, organize it, and deliver it to communities where every bite is precious.
Dominga is just one of the many stories that move us. We’re not here to offer charity. We’re here to restore dignity. And we do it through action: rice in the pot, milk for the children, bread on the table. But also through care, time, and compassion.
Every donation, every kilo of food rescued, every volunteer who joins us, is one more step in breaking the cycle of hunger, abandonment, and silent suffering.
Do you want to be part of this change?
You can help Dominga and many other families like hers. You can join this bridge of compassion that connects abundance with scarcity, cities with forgotten towns, and silence with hope.
